About Us...

About Us...
This is our travel blog... our electronic travel journal you could call it... documenting our journeys to new & different places. I called our blog, 'Tree Top Flyin'... a Jimmy Buffett reference that reminds me of traveling, & the adventures to be had with our newly acclaimed 'IFR' Pilot & his plane. We're a non-traditional family - living in non-traditional ways... and I love it that way. For the four of us life is quick & distinct... it's unique and adventuresome - but it's also very normal. We have angst, & we have laughter. We have pain and we have greatness. We're happy, and we're whole...this family, that is mine.

May 2012

My sisters and me.. and baby Leah.
Amy's back from the Philippines and it's like our family found full life again.
I sent this pic to Jim's phone and he replied, 'could you guys look any happier?'
The answer is probably, no - because we have the best family ever.

My baby sis is finally home.
and as always, my nieces and nephew are more delicious than ever.

Summer Solstice.
On our way home from St. George we pulled off to check out the solstice with especial glasses my brother scored for us.

Fixing Fence.
I know that I look like a dude here - tool belt and all, but I have been doing some serious 'dude' work.
And, I'm really pretty proud of my fence.

A very deceiving picture of my husband...
and that's why I took it. It makes him look lazy, while I'm working. Anyone that knows him - knows this is rare-to-form. I actually love him for taking a break once in a while. And I love that he just lays down in the middle of the forest.

Moving the snow machines.
A difficult task with no snow on the ground. Jim can do anything.

Target practice.

Self portrait. Celebrating six months of marriage!

i love reading your blog! You are having way too much fun in your family!!! It is great to see the pictures of working on the the ranch. My blog is boring -- all about books, but Linds' blog is fun to read. Give it a try when you have time. It is always good to see you, Emily.
